Battery Booster Facility Call Proposals open: €1.5 billion available
On 28 July, the European Commission has officially opened the Battery Booster Facility Call for Proposals, with €1.5 billion financed through the Innovation Fund to support the ramp-up of battery cell manufacturing in Europe. The call provides interest-free loans to help first commercial-scale battery cell manufacturing projects scale up production and strengthen Europe's battery value chain.
Applications are open until 30 September 2026.
