Efficient management of limited resources is an ecological and economic necessity. The subject of resource efficiency is not only about the optimised use of raw materials and protection of the environment. Above all, it is a question of safeguarding the competitiveness of local industry. Resource efficiency and environmental technologies are thus among the priorities of the technology promotion policies in Hessen and many other EU regions.

The workshop will focus on the lessons learned from delivering ERDF-funded resource efficiency support programmes in Denmark, Estonia, France and Germany. Policy officers from regional governments are invited to exchange knowledge and experiences on implementing programmes related to resource efficiency and to develop and discuss possible funding schemes for 2021-2027.

The event will be co-hosted by the Representation of the State of Hessen to the European Union and co-organised by the economic development agency Hessen Trade & Invest (HTAI). It will be held in English (with no translation).
